The Art of Living

The Stoic philosopher Epictetus was concerned primarily with two questions: 1) How do I lead a happy, fulfilling life? and 2) How can I be a good person? In The Art of Living, he attempts to answer these questions, and does so with an uncommon simplicity and elegance. Anyone who is looking to find tranquility in daily life should read this book, as happiness and peace of mind, as Epictetus will show you, are only truly attainable by learning and putting into practice a philosophy that emphasizes the pursuit of virtue and wisdom.
